Rylan is a cinematographer, editor and director based in Vancouver, B.C. with a closet full of hard drives to show for it.

His work has played Victoria and Whistler international film festivals, and

He was nominated for Best Cinematography for Blister (2022) at the Chilliwack Independent film Festival and for Weeping Fig (2025) at the Vancouver Island Short Film Festival.

Rylan’s approach to filmmaking is fast-paced on set and methodical in pre-production. Everything is planned, and every plan can be thrown away if a better idea emerges on set.

Above all else, he likes to watch movies. Film is a language, and you can only become fluent once you've seen every movie ever made, which is his ultimate goal.
